NEVER A BRIDESMAID, ALWAYS A WEDDING GUEST
I know there is a slim chance now that I could be a bridesmaid or a maid of honor in the near feature because (1) I am happily married since 2008 and (2) I am a very busy mother to my toddler. Let’s be real, the bridesmaid duties like helping the bride to choose her best wedding dress would be an impossible task to accomplish so it’s logical to think that I might just refuse the offer — whoever bride-to-be will invite me, okay? But who knows??? However, I am about to start shopping and hunting for wedding guest dresses soon (will attend a wedding in late December and early January!) and I suddenly came up with a realization that I was never asked to be a bridesmaid.
Why is that so? You wondered.
To be honest, it was never a big deal but just for the sake of fun, I came up possible reasons why I was never given a chance to get that bridesmaid role! Let’s see how this list goes!

(1) I AM UNSOCIABLE
In my entire life, I can probably count my best friends on one hand. I’ve always loved to be in a small group of people. I was never a kind of person who loved to have new friends all the time. I was never an adventurous person, too, and staying at home most of the time has been always my thing. And my bestest friend ever is my sister — never had someone that can top her relationship with me.
(2) MY BFFS WERE ALL SINGLETONS
Before I walked down the aisle with my man at the age of 27, most of my close friends at that time were either single, out of the country, or got no plans yet to tie the knot. As much as I would love to wear a very pretty bridesmaid dress, who would have asked me? It makes sense, right?
(3) JUST UNLUCKY
Maybe getting the bridesmaid duty was never written in the stars for me. Well, on the brighter side, Hunny asked my parents for my hand in marriage and I became his bride. Hihi.

I was a bridesmaid once, before I got married, and even though I still stand the chance of being one once again (I am very close to my youngest sister) I don’t think it is likely to happen.
But hey, attending the party without having any duties is way more fun anyway!

True! One of the reasons why not getting the bridesmaid role was never an issue for me because I just want to attend, sit down, witness and eat! haha!

I became a bridesmaid for 4 or 5 times as I remember.. If you unlock 3 then you’ll be a bride, (just like me) so never get stuck on 3. hahahaha

I haven’t been a bridesmaid ever. LOL I don’t think I’ve ever been to my friends’ weddings, either. I’m always abroad when someone gets married. Just my luck huh? 🙁
