4 Reasons Why You Should Own L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Star Matte Reds Lipstick in Pure Rouge + Giveaway!

Hello, beautiful ladies!  It’s my birthday once again!  To celebrate the occasion, I am giving away one red lipstick!  You can find more details about it at the end of this post but before that, let me share to you my favorite lip color at the moment and my four reasons why you should get one for yourself too!

(1) MATTE RED LIPSTICK IS ALWAYS LOVE

I can still remember the happiness I felt when I applied my first red lipstick in matte formula onto my lips — It was MAC Viva Glam I.  Obviously, Viva Glam I has a special place in my heart because it is beautiful, very classy, and irreplaceable.

The L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Star Matte Reds Lipstick in Pure Rouge (PHP400.00 for 4.2g) has a matte, no-shine finish.  You will absolutely love this color.  However, make sure your lips were prepped with a lip balm to achieve silky smooth lips before applying this lipstick.

(2) PURE ROUGE IS HIGHLY PIGMENTED & LONG-LASTING

Pure Rouge lipstick is perfect for those days or occasions that excusing yourself from a very romantic dinner to go to the restroom for quick lipstick touch-ups is impossible.  To add, I wore this lipstick this afternoon: Had coffee and a chocolate doughnut and the lipstick was still there as if nothing happened.

(3) PURE ROUGE IS BLUE-BASED

Blue-based red lipsticks, in general, have a reputation to make your teeth look whiter.  Think of the cult-favorite, MAC Ruby Woo for example.  Let’s celebrate and get that brightest smile as Pure Rouge has a good amount of blue undertones in it!

(4) MAINE MENDOZA WEARS PURE ROUGE

Give props to beautiful, stylish young gal, Maine Mendoza who continuously influences women to wear red lipsticks!  Very empowering!  I am so happy that I am seeing a lot of ladies who wear bold red lipsticks everywhere I go!  I would like to believe that it was Yaya Dub‘s impact.  Do you notice this too?  Who is a fan of KalyeSerye here?  I am!  *pabebe wave!*

SOME STRUGGLES AKA CONS

Okay.  Power Rouge is very intimidating to apply and it might bleed on your lips’ outline so it’s better to apply it with a lip brush or line your lips with a lip pencil just to be on a safer side.  I sometimes use my right ring fingertip to distribute the color.  Power Rouge is hard to remove.  Skip this shade at all cost if you dislike spending few minutes in the bathroom just to take off the color.  Tip: Use a good quality makeup remover.

DUPES.  The closest shade that I have in my collection is the Pleasure Me Red by Maybelline.  They look almost the same, however, Pure Rouge has more cool tones in it than Pleasure Me Red.  While MAC Russian Red has yellow undertones.

MY CONCLUSION

I totally love my Power Rouge.  It is the shade that I can wear that will make me extra confident to face the world.  If you are shopping for red matte lipsticks for the very first time, purchase this!
