ME & MY UNCONSCIOUS MIND
Did you know that the majority of things people do are fulfilled unconsciously? For the last few weeks, I’ve been habitually reaching out for only three lipsticks in my collection. Namely: Pleasure Me Red, Crimson, and, Cinnamon Red. To make the scene clearer in your head, it is like routinely brushing my teeth first thing in the morning and before going to bed — without the need to think at all.
According to behaviorists, our unconscious mind is supposed to considerably guide us in the right direction. Does this mean that these lipstick shades are better than the others in my stash? Or I just watch too much Criminal Minds, Scorpion, and Elementary? *laughs*
PLEASURE ME RED
Just thinking of Maybelline‘s Pleasure Me Red makes me smile as I still find it amazing that I found my true red — Non-blue, non-orange, or non-pink, but just a genuine and straightforward red.
Pleasure Me Red in action:
My Tip: To maximize its beauty, I make sure I use my ever-neglected lip brush to help me to create an even application on the lips, because its formula is creamy and kind of intimidating at first. The results always surprise me especially if it’s combined with a blotting technique using a clean tissue.
CRIMSON
I am confident to say that Revlon‘s Crimson has witnessed almost every grocery store agenda of my life because this shade has been my go-to red lipstick since I purchased it almost a year ago. I am envisioning how my life would be if I had to regularly remind myself to choose the lipstick of the day.
Crimson in action:
My Heads Up: If the taste or smell is an issue for you, well, Crimson reminds me of my mother’s lipsticks back in the day. I would refuse to use the word awful here so I have to say it’s just noticeable and I am already used to it. At least, I am sure that I am reaching for Crimson.
CINNAMON RED
I love the color of Cinnamon Red! It’s balmy and it’s comfortable to wear! I’d never thought I’d love something from Colour Collection, to be honest. To some extent, I ignored this lipstick since after a few applications but I thought I’d swipe it again and now I am in love.
Cinnamon Red in action:
My Objection: The tube sucks. It looks cheap and it is something I would hide from public. Plus, what does High Definition mean in lipsticks, anyway? I am still ignorant. *grin*

Same here. Nichido has HD lipsticks din and I don’t have a clue what that’s supposed to mean.
Anyway, I thought Russian Red would be in your list. Haha. I guess your subconscious knows better than me.

Cinnamon Red is my favourite – they all look fab on you! My recent go to lipstick would have to be KIKO’s Satin Matt in Pink Carnation – it’s beautiful! x

I actually have a lot of red lipsticks so it is hard to choose! I love Riri Woo, but the Viva Glam RiRi is more moisturizing and more wearable for me. I also like the Lime Crime Red Velvet (sometimes) and Laneige Serum Intense Lipstick in Luminous Red. 😉
