My Summer Look 2014

Summer Look 2014
Summer Look 2014

My summer look this year is rational, realistic and uncomplicated.  With the scale of 33 &#x2103 (91 &#8457) temperature plus a flipped out humidity — which I am now going through here in Manila — to wear a voluminous makeup is going to be flakey as cakey foundation, especially when the sun is in its highest point.

Or just a creative way to say, “I am lazy.”

I love my hair down.  I treat my partly frizzies as my comfort blanket, mainly when I feel I want to hide or when I feel that I am conscious.  When the strands of my hair are down, I feel free from danger — Psychological.  lolz.  However, creating a basic ponytail is the usual hairstyle that I do now when I go out or even when I am inside the house.  Having a dripping nape has been making me impatient and grumpy.

EYES. I just wiggled my lashes with a Fashion 21 Waterproof Mascara with Lash Conditioner (P140 for 8g) and curled them up with Nichido Eyelash Curler.  Check out my bare brows, they were just neatly groomed.

FACE. My face appears to be flat and seems to be lifeless when solely wearing a foundation or a blemish balm.  So these days, applying a blush is a must.  I wore a MAC Springsheen on top of POND’S Flawless White BB Cream for this look.

LIPS. I owe my red pout to one of the best and classic shades from MAC, the Russian Red lipstick.

That is all for now.  How is your summer going?

  1. These days I go by bare-faced. I just shape my brows, slap some tinted lip balm on if my lips are feeling particularly pale or dry. And that’s it. Tinatamad na ko magmaganda. No one has run screaming at the sight of my face yet, so I’m taking that as a positive sign that I still look vaguely human somehow. Lol.
