MMM’kay, 1990s was my generation! You see, I was a teenager in the mid ’90s. If you are wondering, I was never into makeup that time but I was hella music fan of Hanson — Do you remember the MMMBop blonde trio? In addition to that, this was the point in my life that I knew every music video ever shown on MTV. This memory brings back a lot of good memories!
Anyway, I read that brown lipstick was a thing during this decade so I was so excited to finally purchase my first brown lipstick in the form of Dulce De Leche — It’s my first lipstick from Laura Mercier too! Yay!
CANDY MADE OF MILK
Laura Mercier Dulce De Leche Creme Smooth Lip Colour (US$27.00 or PHP1,250.00 for 4.00 g/0.14 OZ) is described as a luxurious lipstick that has a midtone brown nude in color. Long lasting. It gives the wearer a semi-lustrous finish. Very comfortable to wear because of its cushiony, lightweight texture formula.
The shade is a perfect match for my morena, yellow undertone skin color. Definitely a good buy once again for me and surely a good addition to my MLBB lipstick collection. I’ve been wearing this since I got it from BeautyMNL.
WOES
Laura Mercier Dulce De Leche Creme Smooth Lip Colour is very buildable and it’s no issue if I apply my lipstick many times to achieve desired effect. However, the ingredients pure Olive Oil and Vitamin E, which are responsible to keep your lips moisturized might be an issue because the excess oil might cause the lipstick to spread and might transfer to your teeth. Solution: I blot the lipstick with a tissue paper once and quickly smack my lips together.
I am totally in love with Dulce De Leche! In fact, I encouraged my friends to try brown lipsticks. What’s your favorite brown lipstick? I am going to check them out for sure!

I always blot with a paper towel if I can and then add a new think layer to the top. This usually works for lipsticks with a lot of slip!
