Jawline and Acne

Jawline and Acne
Jawline and Acne

This is my jawline and acne story.

Last month was the worst breakout I’ve ever experienced since high school.  Ordinary pimples are fine but I am talking about cystic acne here — the inflamed under the skin bumps.  Heck, these beauty spots decided to appear one day and populated my jawline.

lolwhatshappening?

Grrrr.

And grrrr.

Of course, I had to blame the usual suspects: Time of the month, the other time of the month, skin care and makeup products, and the food that I consumed.

But I was still clueless.

I started with my skin care routine.  I stopped using few products for a while, particularly the new items that I just bought: A facial toner and a facial moisturizer.

And the June monthlies was coming.  I was anxious and panicky.  And yes, few pimples were starting to go nuts again(!!!)  Red and painful when touched.  Distinctly, they were just infesting may jaw.

WTF?

So last week, I gave up anything dairy.  I read that acne and dairy have a link but no official recommendations from the dermatologists yet.  But what the belch!?  I would rather give up cake, cupcakes, milk, chocolates, butter than dropping clearer skin.  I can do it!

In fact, I am on a roll and no new pimples are coming out on my jaw since seven days ago.  I told myself, well, well, this must be the culprit!!!

Sooooo last few days ago, I kind of miss wearing makeup so I did sort of touched on my powder blush before going out.  Without any doubt, I know I unconsciously used a synthetic brush that notable day — super light stroke — on my jawline.  It was just a slight touch on the contour of my jaw right after I did the strokes on the apple of my cheeks.

HOLY GUACAMOLE!

My jawline could be sensitive to this particular synthetic brush as the jaw was starting to get itchy after few minutes — I really had a bad feeling when I purchased that brush anyway.  *laughs*

It all makes sense now actually.

At the moment, my only concern is the scars.  I might consider going to a professional for some facial cleaning soon (please world, give me time!) or any service that can heal up my acne faster.

BIG QUESTION: Am I going to go back eating my new discovery red velvet cheesecake?

THE END.

PS. My artistry sucks but my inspiration was her.

xoxo, laarni
