TO A SUNNY DAY
Isdatchu, Alanis? I know complaining about the weather is completely nonsense especially if you live in Manila because the MNL weather is always awesome, as in very, very awesome, but I just want to say that I have recently realized that I have a distaste for the cold weather. For the very first time, the cold breeze coming from the northeast, which draws “cold, dry air” made my skin really dry. Honestly, I think I would rather have oily skin than to have dry skin. For those who are living on the other side of the world, kudos to you! How do you do it? *Does a straight-faced look at the Canadians*
Anyway, the the sun has been super bright lately, which makes me so happy like a happy meal. So now, let’s talk about one of my favorite red lipsticks!
FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE
Are you going to wear red lips on VDay? If you came to me and asked me for help to find the best Valentine’s Day lipstick, without a doubt MAC Russian Red Lipstick ($16) would be my straight answer. I’ve never experienced any rough road when I apply this shade onto my lips. Non-drying and its formula is still at its best even though this tube has been in my stash over a year ago. It’s perfect and it compliments my warm undertones and should be compatible to the rest of the skin tones out there. It’s so great that I am about to buy a new one before I have properly finished it.
I am going to wear red lips on Saturday because red lips mean love. Hihi.

EIFFEL TOWER IN MANILA
Few days ago, I had a “Me-Time” and I went out to meet up with friends. I was offline for roughly five hours. FYI, I have always preferred to be disconnected whenever I step out of the house. It’s kind of my own version of e-detoxing. I actually sometimes laugh at some people who needed to “check-in” and to broadcast what they’re doing every second on social media. I must have watched too many episodes of Stalker, huh? But anyway, whatever floats your boat, I am fine with that.
This miniature Eiffel Tower was put up here in the Metro for Valentine’s Day. Of course, Eiffel Tower’s real version can be found in Paris, which is known to be one of the most romantic cities in the world. We took advantage of it and snapped few pictures using a monopod.

It is a beautiful red and it suits you so well. I am currently obsessed with Mac’s Ladybug, it’s a red shade too but it’s more sheer and as you know I am still a little bit scared to wear bold red lip.
Your outing seems really cool, what a cute idea with the mini Eiffel Tower! And don’t complain about cold weather, it’s 17 degrees F here in Michigan- that’s cold! Lol

This is one of my favorite led lipsticks that I own.. together with “Mon Rouge” by Lolita Lempicka, but the texture of Russian Red is different and stays on my lips much longer. It does compliment your warm undertones, actually. Great choice!
