Hello there! So far, I am having fun trying out new makeup products from my new favorite brand, Benefit Cosmetics. I was fortunate that I got the opportunity to receive these deluxe samples from my June 2014 subscription of the BDJ Box.
The focus of today’s entry is about the Benefit They’re Real Mascara (P1,300.00 for 8mL). I love it enough I am planning to purchase the full size for sure. However, my makeup drawer kind of locks out black mascaras for years already as my first and last jet black mascara purchase was made in 2009. I have been into clear mascara since then. But let’s see if this tube actually can change my mind — permanently.

I stayed at home all day and it’s rare for me to put on makeup but I did because I wanted to try the Benefit They’re Real Mascara and I thought this wasting time was starting to be ridiculous. So yeah, my first application went well but I was very careful because having too much product on my lashes and my sensitive eyelids freaks me out a little. In fact, I intentionally skipped my lashes on my lower eyelids because recurring styes.
Surprisingly, the wiggling part was easy peasey but I got too much product when I held the wand vertically and tried to separate my lashes. I need to practice more, I guess.

Sorry to hear about your stye issues. I get them when I work too long at the computer ( which is very often) and they are so not fun..especially because I wear contacts!! Id be curious to know what you think of this mascara. I’ve seen this on a couple of people and loved their lashes so much I asked what they were using and they turned out to be wearing this. However it turned out just meh on me! I really like the Lancome Hypnose mascara and a Pupa Milano one. What clear mascara have you been using? I used to use the maybelline one back in the day ! Yeah, Dee. It sucks. I already stopped using my eye makeup brushes ‘cas i thought they got infected already although I always clean them every after use (great reason to buy new brushes haha!) I scraped my eye shadows as well to de-germ them. I also seldom wear my contacts now. I hate it! lol.
Well, this mascara is promising. It actually lengthens my lashes twice. I need to wear this product again to know how long the strength will last. I immediately remove it after I took few photos this afternoon.
My clear mascara is Nichido. It’s a cheap drugstore brand. I toss it after every a couple of months. Me gonna check the products you mentioned. Thank you!!!!
